Istanbul getaway

Istanbul has always been my dream place to visit ...*of course la selepas London, hehe. Why Istanbul ? Simply because I want to see the picturesque Sultanahmet Mosque or Blue Mosque ! *-_-, me so childish, nak tengok bangunan cantek je kan...

Day 1 :

Arrived in Istanbul on the 9th December 2012. We were fetched by a shuttle van that brought us direct to our hotel. We were warmly greeted by the driver. Then, we safely arrived at the hotel, Saruhan Hotel. Highly Recommended ! *x tau nak buat thumbs up macam dalam FB...hahaha. The hotel is by the seaside, lpas tue breakfast included, save budget u'olls :p  The room is so cantek is spacious. *ok, sila view gmbar di bawah , *wink2

Once I arrived in Istanbul, Istanbul is more than a stunning-looking city. The people are good and welcoming. The culture is unique. The Islamic architecture is enchanting. Oh, I am in love !The main languages in Istanbul are Turkish and Arabic. Obviously, as neither Turkish nor Arabic speakers, we had problems in communication. Usually, only salesmen in the souvenir shops are good in English since they need to communicate with tourists

Alhamdulilah, fully satisfied with the room. Comfortable and spacious :)

Camwhoring is our best talent ! haha..*please ignore the eyebags :p

The room just cost us 10 euros per person , per nite ! Cheap giller..rase nak menari-nari tengok bilik cantek sngat and murah. Plus, the hotel is just walking distance nak pergi blue mosque.. Super awesome !!!..The day we arrived, we just slept. Haha. we need our beauty sleep since we stayed up all nite long dekat luton airport..Sumpah, penat giller, so the proverbs counts here ' bagai orang mengantuk disorongkan bantal' bile nampak katil yang super empuk ! We woke up late evening for the food hunting! Basically, makanan ruji Tukish is bread . *sob2, kesian perut melayu princess yang makan nasi je :( Finally, we had our dinner at a restaurant nearby Blue Mosque. It was quite expensive and we decided  to share. Dah la ade service charge skali..urghhh..

Day 2 :

First thing first , BREAKFAST !

The breakfast buffet

Turkish really have various types of jams :p

Honestly, we were clueless about their menu. At last, kiteorang maen hentam je makan asal kenyang ...:p . The most interesting part of Turkish breakfast is the variety of jams. Seriously, there are almost 10 different flavour of jams. Interesting kan?

After breakfast, we started our journey. The first place we visited is Blue Mosque. My first reaction was "Subhanallah, canteknye ! We decided not to enter the mosque since we want to perform our Dhuhr prayer there. But, we did stuck finding the best spot to take picture in front of the mosque * biaselaa, perempuan kot :p

This is the ceramic blue wall

Then, we went to Topkapi palace which is another tourist attraction. The entrance fee is 25 Turkish lira. This palace consists of the palace itself and hamam * cost us another 15 lira. The interior of the palace is breathtaking. It is so BIG and consists lots of spaces. Most of the walls and floors are decorated with blue ceramic. Turkish is renowned for its blue ceramic. Its very unique which carries Turkish identity. Then, there was an Islamic exhibition. dapat tengok pedang Rasulullah S.A.W. Terpana kami berempat melihat pedang baginda dan sahabat2 baginda. Melihatkan pedang mereka, membarakan api perjuangan Islam dalam diri kami. It was a spectacular experience. Plus, I was amazed when non Muslim people are enthusiastic to learn about Islam.
